I currently live and work on the traditional Indigenous territory of Tkaronto, known as Toronto, that has been caretaken by the Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Huron-Wendat, and the Métis - and is home to many Indigenous peoples.

Acknowledging the current treaty holders, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the territory is the subject of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy and Confederacy of the Ojibwe and allied nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

Personally, as an immigrant and settler to this land, I am grateful for the opportunity to live here. I am unlearning the false history that I was taught, being made aware of the responsibility to engage in meaningful, active reconciliation.
